Happy Fall ya'll

So I realize I have not posted in way too long, but as all you blogges and blog readers know sometimes life has other plans and ideas for us. How I have missed blogging and the blogging crowd, unfortunately my family has been going threw some big changes and that has left us in a bit of a adjustment period. I am now part of the elite single mother 's club!!  Which has taken time to get use to, and to be honest with everything going on in our lives it was hard to find the inspiration to do the things that I love to do , all my attention and spare time has been spent with my kids. But with the harvest season in full swing and thanksgiving among us I thought I would share some of my favorite crafts and fall decor inspirations with you, so get comfy grab a cup of something yummy cause I got lots to show ya!  Here are some pictures of my fall inspired tablescape from Thanksgiving I went with a simple natural looking theme and of course  bookpages I love my book page crafts...
Here Is a super easy fall banner, done out of torn bookpages, a sharpie, some Twine and clothes pegs. It's super cute and has lots of charm.
The fall tablescape is done with simple elements of Twine pumpkins, bookpage pumpkins and cute little bookpage leafs, and in lieu of flowers this year I made a center piece out of branches and bookpage leaves hot glued to the Branches, and placed in a pitcher I placed the extra leaves around the table to make it seem like they fell off,  my take on fall ya'll.

I love how It has all come together.

Don't you just love these little guy's
Come by tomorrow for a full tutorial on how I made these lovly little pumpkins

Try a fun faux center piece instead of flowers this holiday season, it's lots of fun and sure to get lots of attention.

See you tomorrow for the how to's  on these fun little pumpkins
A Fall table by candle light, lovin it!! Till tomorrow, hugs Elle..

Some halloween fun at the house of Elle! coming up next week!!

Family Camping Trip @Silent Lake 2013

So happy to be home from camping trip, it was a lot of fun, but also tons of work..Camping is pretty much taking your everyday life of cleaning dishes chaotic kids, and laundry and moving to a really inconvenient location, but we all love it, and do it pretty much every summer, it dose get easier as the kids get  older. This year we took the family to Silent Lake, the provincial park my Dad took me to every summer for two weeks.Silent Lake is in  beautiful Bancroft Ontario, and is breathtaking and special in it's own way, as there is a no motor boat rule on the lake, hence the name Silent Lake. Here are a few shots from our trip.
Our trip was amazing and very memorable, full of lots of family fun.Lots of sandcastles, canoeing, long walks in the woods, swiming ,a ton of fishing, campfires and marshmallow roasting, beautiful veiws , goregous sunsets , amazing wildlife, family, and most of all peaceful silence.

The kids built an amazing sandcastle village, they spent hours on the beach that day, who knew they had such concentration now onley if I could get them to focus on there homework like that.

A romantic Summer tour.

Hello again my shabbie loving friend's, today I thought I'd share a few photo's of my backyard, before I head out on a week long camping trip in the lovely Bancroft, with my  Father, sister, husband and kids. So sit back and relax and enjoy the romantic view.
Hammock under the big pines out back.

Pretty little lace latern, hanging above the hammock.
A summer pic-nic is always on the menu
Sweet corn Yummy

I've always been a sucker for a romantic hammock
Louger on the  deck,  covered in my mother's vintage coverlet. A shabby basket holds a throw  knitted by my grandmother.

Lace tealight holders that I made in the spring

Table details

A pretty chandy made be myself and the kiddies

Lace streamers give it a little bling.

Little lace details really set the mood.

This is my backyard so far, still alot  to do, but I'll get there. I want to add lots of tulle , and a pretty swing down by the fire pit. Seebyou soon have a wonderful long weekend. Hugs Elle
